The Spanish Delegation of the International Theatre Institute, World Performing Arts Organization ITI/UNESCO, together with the UNESCO Ibero-American Dance Chair "Alicia Alonso" of the "Alicia Alonso" University Dance Institute of the Rey Juan Carlos University, have announced the Third edition of the World Congress on Research in the Performing Arts, which will be held on the days 12 and 13 of June of 2025 in virtual mode.
This international meeting will bring together academics, researchers, creators and professionals of the Performing Arts in a forum for reflection and debate on the contemporary challenges facing the sector. In a world marked by climate change, sustainability, social justice and citizen well-being, the congress seeks to explore the role of the Performing Arts as a driving force of cultural transformation and social cohesion.
This year's program will include Five thematic symposia which will address key aspects of the discipline:
Those interested in participating may send their proposals in Spanish, English, Portuguese, Italian or French. Accepted communications will be published in books edited by Dykinson and Egregius, publishers recognized in the academic field.
