Annexed Centers

This project called CENTROS ANEXOS al Instituto Universitario de la Danza "Alicia Alonso" of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, is aimed at schools or institutions of public or private character, which aim to enhance artistic talent, through the unification of a methodological system in the teaching and practice of ballet.

The creation of the CENTROS ANEXOS arises from the exercise that, in an uninterrupted way, has developed the Fundación de la Danza "Alicia Alonso" regarding the implementation in Spain of higher studies in dance.

Requirements for Centers

Faculty

Specialization of teachers through a Training of Trainers Program.

Methodology

Implementation of the Methodology with the structure by levels of technical training.

Once the centers have fulfilled the requirements to become ANNEX CENTERS, they will be in a position to submit their request to the Governing Council of the Institute, which, once the aforementioned points have been verified, will ratify the requested status. However, this status will require compliance with the rules of supervision and control of the academic activity established both throughout the course and in the examining boards that are to supervise the passage to the different levels, as set out in the methodological instructions manual.

At the end of each of these levels, students will receive an accrediting diploma with the specific denomination, issued by the University Institute within the framework of the certifications of the educational extension program. It should be noted that the accreditation of the last level will depend on the passing of the Higher Level Entrance Exam (studies equivalent to all effects to a Degree in Dance).

Annexed Centers

This project aims to continue the teaching and improvement of classical dance using the Cuban method, developing technical, artistic and didactic skills in teachers and students, in order to disseminate the Cuban ballet in the Italian peninsula. 

Training in classical dance from the age of 3 years, from the age of 9 years begins the professional training program structured according to the methodology of the Cuban School of Ballet. This program consists of a preparatory course, elementary level (from first to fifth) and intermediate level (from sixth to eighth). 

It presents a dance study program, especially focused on dancers in the process of learning, between the ages of 15 and 25 years old. 

This Center offers its training according to the Cuban ballet teaching method, covering the 8 years of teaching.

Wellness Academy Funakoshi Associazione Sportiva Dilettantistica is an association that brings together a group of schools dedicated to the training of professional dance with high technical and interpretative quality, following the training program according to the characteristics of the Cuban method of teaching ballet.

CLASSICAL BALLET TRAINING

Aimed at teaching classical ballet from the age of three to adulthood.

ACADEMIC AND PROFESSIONAL TRAINING IN CLASSICAL DANCE

Structured in three levels: Elementary, Intermediate and Advanced.

TRAINING SPACE FOR NON-PROFESSIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DANCERS

Through this agreement, the students of the different training courses will be able to accredit the levels of the ballet specialty according to the parameters defined in the program of the Cuban School of Ballet.

FOR THIS PURPOSE, HE IS IN CHARGE OF THESE COURSES

This program is articulated from the direction of the center by Prof. Yaima Arias, a graduate of the Cuban School of Ballet, and the methodological advice provided by the Alicia Alonso University Institute of Dance, through the training of trainers program.

Promoting quality artistic training.

Professional training

To develop a program of courses directed to the sectors of dance, music and other artistic-cultural goods and expressions. The stimulation, promotion and development of research and teaching, in all areas, as well as the organization and distribution of information, all related to dance materials and other artistic and cultural goods and expressions.

TRAINING SPACE FOR NON-PROFESSIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL DANCERS

Through this agreement, the students of the different training courses will be able to accredit the levels of the ballet specialty according to the parameters defined in the program of the Cuban School of Ballet.

FOR THIS PURPOSE, HE IS IN CHARGE OF THESE COURSES

Teachers graduated from the Cuban School of Ballet, who has a University Degree in Dance Art with a specialization in Classical Ballet obtained at the University of the Arts of Cuba.
