The “Alicia Alonso” University Institute of Dance (IUDAA) announces the call for the 2024 Maturity Test, aimed at those applicants who, lacking the conventional academic requirements, wish to access Higher Artistic Education in Dance (Degree Degree in Teaching Higher Artistic Studies corresponding to the MECES 2 level).
The test, which will be held on May 24, 2024 at the Royal Higher School of Dramatic Art, will consist of three exercises: Spanish Language, Text Commentary and, at the candidate's choice, History of Spain or History of Philosophy. Those interested must register from April 2 to 16, 2024 through the institute's online platform or at the secretariat of the Royal Higher School of Dramatic Art, among other options. This process provides a unique opportunity for those seeking to develop professionally in the artistic field without having the previously required degree.
Academic requirements for access to artistic education superiors: possess a bachelor's degree or have passed the university entrance test for those over 25 years of age, or be in possession of a higher artistic education degree, university degree or higher technical degree, as well as passing the corresponding specific tests of access to different teachings.
*In order to register for the maturity test You must prove an age equal to or greater than eighteen years or turning eighteen in the year 2024.
*Those who do not meet the academic requirements may take the specific entrance test once they have previously passed the maturity test.
