Classical Dance Mention

The professional development of the dancer requires high physical performance, and increasingly, a high degree of specialization to achieve high levels of virtuosity within their register and specialty.

The professional experiences acquired by the students of the Degree in the field of classical dance after more than eighty performances in theaters of the regional and national networks, show excellent results endorsed by critics and the public, which has meant a high degree of satisfaction on the part of students and teachers.

In our studios, classical dance aspires to technical excellence with individualized work that separates the technique of male and female dance, which marks the interpretative differences that can be seen during the process of the stage representation of repertoire ballets. . During the learning process of this modality, aspects such as time and style are taken into account; these factors determine different classifications, depending on the dancer's register, we talk about ballets called classic, romantic, demi-character, etc.

Classic dance

Nowadays, the academic technique of classical dance serves as a basis of preparation for the rest of the branches of dance (Spanish dance, contemporary dance, dance-theater, etc.), constituting the common denominator of all these disciplines. However, this refers to the dancer's training phase and the necessary foundation provided by the academic ballet technique, without which, we would not be able to address other specific methodologies, aimed at specialization by branches.
